Dental
Implants

In many
situations, dental implants can give back patients their confident
smile. The benefits are improved esthetics, the ability to eat
comfortably and a clean healthy oral environment for the patient.
Dental
implants are small prosthetic posts that are placed into the bone of the
upper or lower jaw. They act as replacements for the root portion
of lost natural teeth and also serve as an anchor for replacement
teeth. Dental implants are appropriate for almost anyone who is
currently missing teeth or is at risk of losing teeth.
There are
many different types of dental implants available. Dr. David S.
Clary has had extensive experience in restoring dental implants and
would be pleased to discuss the benefits of implant prosthetics with
you. He works with other surgical specialist, as a team, to place
the implants in the most ideal locations to provide you with the most
esthetic, functional, and long lasting treatment.
Ask about
implant restorative treatment at the time of your consultation.
Fixed
Bridge (also called a fixed partial denture)

|
Before |
 |
|
After |
A fixed
bridge is a restoration designed to replace one tooth or several teeth that
have been lost. It can eliminate unsightly gaps with a replacement
tooth between the teeth on either side of the gap. A bridge can
prevent the remaining teeth from drifting out of position as well as
helping with chewing.

Partial
and Complete Denture

|
Before |
 |
|
After |
Partial and
complete dentures full fill several different functions. They can
provide "teeth" for chewing and breaking down food, provide
structure and shape to our facial tissues, providea beautiful smile, and
helps in speech. there are several types of dentures, including
complete dentures, special clasp-less (wireless) removable partial
dentures using precision attachments, and overdentures supported by
either natural teeth or implants.
Temporomandibular
Disorders (TMD)
TMD is not
just one disorder, but a group of conditions, often painful that affect
the jaw joint (temporo-manidbular joint or TMJ) and the muscles that
control chewing. Symptoms may include pain, limited movement or
locking of the jaw, clicking, popping, or grating sounds in the jaw
joint, or a sudden, major change in the way your teeth fit
together. Dr. Clary believes in conservative and reversible
treatment for TMD. This treatment may include an oral appliance,
which is a plastic guard that fits over the teeth. This guard can
help reduce clenching or grinding, which cause muscle tension. A referral to other dental or medical specialist is done if necessary.
MaxilloFacial
Prosthetics
MaxilloFacial
prosthodontics deal with the rehabilitation of patients with acquired
and congenital defects of the head and neck region. These defects
may result from birth defects, trauma, or oral cancer. A team of
physicians and dental specialist may be required to restore form and
function and to allow the patient to return to a good quality
.
